Ketim Technologies CEO Shares Lived Experience on Birth Trauma and Mental Health at PSANZ 2025
Brisbane, Australia – March 16, 2025 – Ketim Technologies, a leader in biomarker-based diagnostics for perinatal mental health, is proud to share that Founder and CEO, Dr. Clarissa Yates, Ph.D., participated as a panelist at the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand (PSANZ) 2025 Breakfast Symposium, Beyond Birth: Compassionate Care after Birth Trauma and its Relationship with Mental Health Care.
The event, led by Associate Professor Alka Kothari, explored innovative approaches to supporting parents following birth trauma, with a focus on the intersection of compassionate care and mental health. Dr. Yates shared her personal journey of giving birth to a 29-week-old baby and navigating a two-month stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), providing a powerful perspective on the emotional and psychological challenges parents face during this critical time.
Associate Professor Kothari, a pioneer in advancing compassionate care for both mothers and fathers, also serves as an advisor to Ketim Technologies, ensuring the company’s research and innovations are grounded in best practices for parental mental health support.
“This conversation is deeply personal to me,” said Dr. Yates. “Our mission at Ketim Technologies is to combine scientific innovation with compassionate care to improve outcomes for families. Events like this reaffirm why that balance is essential.”
The occasion was also made memorable with Dr. Yates’ young daughter, Ada, joining the panel — a lighthearted reminder of the human stories at the heart of Ketim Technologies’ mission.
